Since my last entry in early September, I lot has changed concerning my future. Such as me deciding to go to a junior college then transfer to a University of California, my attitude towards school, and my feelings about graduation.

I decided to go to a community college because I didn’t see the point of having to pay an extra 500 percent more for basically the same courses I’ll be taking at a UC. I found that, depending on what school, I could save around 20,000$ by first taking my general classes at a community college then transferring to a UC. Another reason why I’m going to College of Sequoias rather than a UC or CSU is because I feel it would be too much to take in too soon. Such as needing to get some basic job experience, getting a driver’s license, and having to take on expected responsibilities

My attitude towards school has gravely changed over the couple of months. In the beginning of the year I had an eagerness to finish school with the best grades if possible. Lately this hasn’t been the case for a few classes. For French, Psychology, Careers in Education, Computer Repair, and Government I’ve been really attentive and staying on pace or if not ahead of pace. In spite of the fact that was doing great in the majority of my classes, I do have two classes that I find a bit annoying but interesting. One of those classes is English. English overall is an essay class, very simple, read a story do a worksheet on it and a paper on it. This is where I lack the motivation of doing work for English; it’s repetitive and no very creative. Recently though, we have started working on our Weebly again and I’ve began to gain interest in that class again. For the other class, Physics, it’s not so much that it isn’t interesting or intriguing, it’s mostly because of the all the chapter readings you have to do. I’ve actually got back on pace just yesterday.

Lastly my feelings about graduating have been greatly changed. I don’t see graduating as a grand ceremony for all my hard work. Now I see it as a small celebration for getting prepared for what lies ahead. Since a high diploma isn’t as glamorous as it used to, its need to be celebrated has also decreased. In essence graduating from high school isn’t that much of a big deal, what I find to be a big deal is a diploma from a University with a masters in Mathematic in one hand and a single-subject teaching credentials on the other hand before 2020.

In conclusion, high school has changed in the few past months, in a few more months; I wonder what else might change about my future. Till’ then, I’ll be trying to aim for those level 4s I need for REAP!
