Clubs

FRESHMAN YEAR

During freshman year I joined a wide variety of clubs which include Chess Club with Mr. Peterson, Book Club with Mr. Gill, and Guitar Club with Mrs. Wills. In Chess Clubs we would have regular meetings after school at Peterson’s classroom to complete each other to see who the master chess player was. In book club, I remember reading a book; and with the help of sponsors; we were paid for each page that we read as a way to get funding for the club. In guitar club, we would jam as a group

Junior YEAR

Last year, when I was a junior, I was a member of Key Club International, an international club that encourages a community-like thinking. Another club I held membership in during my junior year was French Club. In this club we held several fundraisers to help fund out expedition to Santa Monica such as chocolate sales, shirt sales, and candy sales. Sadly we didn’t have enough funding to actually go so we just had a huge hamburger party for all the members of French Club.

SENIOR YEAR

This year, I’m a proud member of several clubs. This year’s club include: Key Club International, American Sign Language, Guitar Club, and Future Business Leaders of America. As a member of ASL we help promote ASL and even start learning basic gestures to communicate with the deaf. While in FBLA, the club promotes business interest in youth to be future business leaders.

Activities

Throughout my years at Lindsay High School, i have been part of many organization & group events. These events have lead to me having a closer connections to the community we have here at Lindsay. I’ve been part of the Kiwanis Christmas Toy giveaway at the Lindsay Fire Department. I’ve also been part of the Olive Bowl Clean Up, where we would go to the Olive Bowl sports parks to clean up the park to show community pride. In addition, i’ve helped at school events such as attending the food booth on multiple occasions & events.
